These are my thoughts, hopes, prayers, and ideas on how I get through the day trying to be a faithful Christian in early 21st century, middle-class America.  And I believe what I see, what I read, and the people I know, there are a lot of people like me out there.

I talk to a lot of people like me out there.  Will my kids go to heaven? Does prayer work?  What if I have sinned recently?  How do I handle my anger?  What if I am suddenly ill or alone or depressed?

In Being a Normal Christian, I want the ideas to be how to lead a faithful life while being a working person trying to keep it all together for the next day.

I am not a pastor.  I am not trying to make you into something you are not.  I’m sharing my faith walk.  And hoping that somewhere along the way, something I write will make a difference in your own journey.
